• When traveling they go to conferences and they provide an excellent opportunity to meet other astronomers
• When they are teaching they mostly are teaching astronomy and physics courses at universities.
• When writing they spend a lot of time writing papers and proposals
• In observing they go to observatories to carry out research, and go all over the world to research

I choose an astronomer because I love space and science and I wanted to see how and where we get our information about it. Also because at first I thought an astronomer was the same thing as a astronaut but then I learned that it's not at all.
