What is astronomy?
Astronomy is the study of the universe, the make-up of it, and everything in it.

Astronomy is divided in two main sections-
Observational astronomy-collect data-develop new instruments and keeping existent ones-develop softwares to interpret data gathered by satellites-analyze data and testing theories

Create complex computer models to develop theories-analyzing results of past observations to develop new predictions-making observations and testing theories-analyzing data to help develop our understanding of event in the univers

Preparation-
- Finish High School
- Go to college (UT Austin has the best astronomy program in texas)
- Get a physics degree
- Go to graduate school
- Get a doctoral or professional degree

Hours/Pay-
Full time career, but mostly depends on any projects now that it involves a lot of traveling.
Average payment of $50 per hour-$1951 weekly-$8452 monthly-$101427 yearly- as said before this is average payments in Texas.
