When the UV rays hit the ozone molecule, it breaks into pieces you then have one O2 molecule and also one oxygen atom. That oxygen atom is recycled in the ozone layer. because there is more ozone being created always. Not all of the ultra-violet light is removed about 60% of it is removed.
