attitude - a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior.

Proverbs 23:6 Do not eat the bread of a miser, Nor desire his delicacies;
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. "Eat and drink!" he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

“The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That’s the day we truly grow up.” -- John C. Maxwell

We choose what attitudes we have right now. And it’s a continuing choice.
-- John C. Maxwell

Chuck Swindoll --

The remarkable thing is, we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

1) What is your attitude toward God?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Romans 3:12-18 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one."
13 Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit; The poison of asps is under their lips;
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known.
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes."

2) What is your attitude toward self?

Mt 20:27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave--
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

1Co 9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

3) What is your attitude toward others?

Php 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself

4) What is your attitude toward the Bible?

2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

5) What is your attitude toward the church?

Mt 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Ro 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Ac 20:28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

6) What is your attitude toward sin?

1 John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

Heb 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Acts 22:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'
