THINGS TO THINK ABOUT

  • Always wear these things a helmet, goggles, long sleeves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and gloves.
  • Never ride on paved roads except to cross when done safely and permitted by law - another vehicle could hit you. ATVs are designed to be operated off-highway.
  • Never carry a passenger on a single-rider ATV, and no more than one passenger on an ATV specifically designed for two people.

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT (CONTINUED)

  • Ride an ATV that's right for your age.
  • Supervise riders younger than 16; ATVs are not toys.
  • Ride only on designated trails and at a safe speed.
  • Safely transport your ATV on trailer.
  • Always have your license with you at all times.
  • Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Get trained to ride

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW THESE RULES

  • Burnt butt cheek (road burn)
  • Severe Injury
  • Only drive on certified roads/trails
  • Proper clothing
  • Crash (brain injury)
  • Look both ways

THINGS TO THINKS ABOUT (CONTINUED)

  • Don't hit animals
  • No little kids
  • Must be registered
  • No diving gear on atv's
  • Be careful in mud and on ice
  • Make sure head lights are working and rear light
  • Don't use homemade gas
  • Don't make gas out of moonshine
  • Make sure battery is working
