Origins

  • Born from Loki and Angrboda (Giantess)
  • Sibling to Hel and the Jormungand Serpent
  • Prophesied to bring about Ragnarok and an end to the gods  
  • Dared only by the god of war Tyr to be fed and taken care of
  • Chained by a magic ribbon due to his immense size and fear from the gods

Ragnarok

  • The chains of restraint will be broken and Ragnarok will begin
  • With mouth open, runs through the battlefield devouring both sun and moon
  • An ensuing battle between Fenrir and Odin begins
  • Wins and then devours the all-father Odin
  • Killed by the son of Odin, Vidar, in an act of revenge
