MAYA ANGELOU

Maya Angelou was born in St.Louis,Missouri on April 4th, 1928

When Maya was young, her dad and mother split up so they made Maya and her older brother, Bailey, move in with their dads mom in Stamps, Arkansas .

Maya attended California Labor School in 1942 and she got 30 degrees.

Maya Angelou has received the President metal of freedom in 2010, the BET awards Honor for Literary Arts in 2001, and Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album in 1994 also in 1996 and 2003

She was sexually abused and she was brave enough to write a story/book about it . And Maya had 30 best selling books.

Maya Angelou used the struggles she faced in her childhood to make her writing move powerful.
