WHAT IS AVID?
AVID is a program that helps students get ready for collage.It's designed to increase school wide learning and performances.It teaches you how to study and organizational skills.

STEPS TO TUTORIAL PROCESS

  • Students complete a tutorial request form (TRF)
  • Students are divided into there tutorial groups
  • Each member of the group points out there point of confusion
  • Student with the most help gives 30 sec. Speech about there pre-work
  • Tutor and group members ask questions to help student with problem

CONTINUATION...

  • Group members copy notes and problem from student
  • When student gets answer, he writes the process on how he found answer
  • Students write down a written reflection on what they learned
  • Students turn in TRF to teacher/tutor for grading or feedback

  • Level2: compare,infer,contrast,analyze
  • Level3: evaluate,judge,predict, imagine, speculate
