the Aztecs meet the spaniards

• Cortes met the Aztecs in 1519
• heading inland he fond the Tabasco natives. who supplied him  
• the Aztecs and natives thought he was a god (Quetzalcoatl)  
• Quetzalcoatl was the Aztecs god of arts 
• when the Spaniards saw Tenochtitlan they thought it was a sign from god  

the SPANISH learn about the Aztecs

• the Spanish learned that they are ruthless warriors  
• so the Spanish made an alliance with the Tlaxcalans 
• then Cortes made a goal to meet Montezuma  
•  Cotes and  Montezuma meet    
• then cotes was gifted with gold  

using the tlaxcalans and cholulas

• the Spanish used the natives as warriors and spy's 
• the two clans hated the Aztecs 
• so when they heard Cortes plan they mad an alliance with them
