WHEN HERNAN CORTES ARRIVED

• When hernan cortes arrived in mexico the aztecs thought he was a missing
• god. Because the aztecs belived in more then one god so montizoma let
• Hernan cortes into the city. They gave him Julery,gold and plenty more.
• Hernan cortes wasn't impressed he wanted more so he went off and
• Brought back his army of spanish conquistadors to take over the aztec empire

When this significant event happened the Spanish brought with them a deadly disease called smallpox this wiped out about 20 percent of the Aztecs population and about 5 percent survived. This disease decreased the population more then war

• From the aztecs point of view would of been they thought that hernan cortes
• was a missing god but hernan cortes wasn't a god he was a spanish conquistador but
• seen as the spanish were greedy and wanted more so hernan cortes acted like he was a god
• But he wasn't. So the aztecs belived in him so much that they gave him gold and Julery and
• More all types of goods they had,but hernan cortes wanted even more

• When hernan cortes arrived in mexico he was on search for new land and
• new resources but instead he comes across a city the city of tenochtitlarn this
• city was built on water. Hernan cortes wanted to go and check it out when he arrived at
• The entry of this big city,heaps of aztecs were glad to see him because they thought he
• Was there god,hernan cortes was confused about what was going on

WHEN HERNA CORTES ARRIVED AND MET THE AZTECS

• Heaps and heaps of aztecs were giving him gold and julery and all types of goods but
• hernan cortes didn't like that all these aztecs were annoying him with all this gold and goods but hernan cortes
• Wanted more because conquistadors want three things they are gold,glory and spread the word of god he
• Was annoyed when he found out that they belived in totally different gods so hernan cortes left and came
• back with his army of conquistadors. They over throught the aztec army and killed king montizoma

• From the spanish point of view would of been that hernan cortes was just exploring to find new land and new
• Resources but came across the city of tenochtitlan and got greeted into the city and got given resources but
• He didnt accept it and wanted more so he took over. And some aztecs got brought back with the spanish to be
• Slaves whitch had to learn there language and do what thay say
