When Parvana had to go fetch the families water she reminded me that I have to do chores at my house that I don't want to do either just like Parvana.

NOORIA

• NOORIA is stubborn and bossy.
• To have to tell someone or something what to do or to be controlling.
• Also to not give in and to keep your statement or grudge.

NOORIA opened the cupboard door took out the sewing kit and snapped the scissors a few times "you not cutting my hair" Parvana said. Pg.64

MY CONECTION

• "My connection is that once my dad had to cut out a humongous chunk out of my thick hair becouse he tied my hair in a fuzzy knot on the boat ride to my papas house by accident".
• I felt very sad about this situation because it really heart my head.

• Mrs.weera is sporty:to be active and healthy.mrs.weera was a field hockey coach. Mrs.Weera reminds me of my mom because she is just as sporty as her.They both are amazing coaches too.But my mom coaches me in ringette and Mrs.Weera was a teacher at a school.

CHARACTER

• {The window women}
• The window women is a mysterious figure who leaves special treats for Parvana on her toshake. Parvana is thinking now she is getting good America with all of the gifts.
• Pg.82

SHAUSIA

• Shausia is good at spelling she and Parvana were in the same class together until it got bombed. They weren't that close in friendship but now that Parvana had seen a long lost friend she is glad of the company. Shausia is kind because she wants to help Parvana make money by digging up bones.

FATHER

• Father is lucky to be literate although he only has one leg he can get to the market pretty good with the help of Parvana. Until he got taken away by the grouchy Taliban.

HOSSAIN

• Hossain was Parvana's older brother, he died in a viscous land mine that the cruel Taliban put in the ground.
• Now that Parvana is a boy she where's his beautiful shalwar kameez.
