The Breadwinner characterization
By:Lucie

Parvana is brave
Brave:to have strength of mind and act firmly in a face of danger.

Quote:"Get out of my house! Yelled Parvana. She threw herself at the soldiers with such force that they both fell on the ground." Page 32

My connection is in a book that I read called Flush and these two kids got stuck out in the middle of the ocean all night. They were really scared because they thought that they won't live but they still did. This is my connection to when Parvana knocked the soldiers down. Parvana and the 2 kids both were brave in different ways.

My connection is when I was in gymnastics and I won a gold medal because I was the best on floor. This reminds me of when Mrs.Weera was showing Parvana her ribbon. Mrs.Weera and I were both proud at what we won.

My connection is to a show called Once Upon A Time were the dark one always lerk in the shadows. They also keep all there plans a secret so no one can see them comming. When I watch this it makes me want to watch for ever but it is only one hour so it makes me anger because I have to wait another week to watch it again. This reminds me of the Window Women watching Parvana.

The Taliban are picky
Picky:
extremely fussy or finicky, usually over trifles.

Quote: "She'd seen the Taliban hit a child for banging on an old board like it was a drum. The Taliban hated music." Page 125

My connection is my mom is picky about food that I eat that is not healthy. She does not like artificial flavouring like Jelly Belly's. She also doesn't like food with PHT. I don't like how she is so picky because I love Jelly Belly's but she still lets me eat them. This reminds me of how the Taliban are picky about a lot of things.
