How B.C.H.I. works

• All of BCHI's clients are known as "partners".
• They fall into the catagories of operational partnership and professional partnership.

Why "Partnerships"?

• The term “Partnership” implies an active working relationship between two entities. Austere environments are dynamic, traditional certifications are not. Partnerships allow us to take a custom approach to each and every client and address their unique needs.

Operational Partners

• Any agency, entity, person or service that may provide direct operational service during an emergency outside of the urban environment. This includes,but is not limited to, emergency services, guide services,environmental hazard mitigators, boundary controlled ski areas, boundary controlled bike areas, and outdoor research facilitators.

B.C.H.I Partner Incubator

• Gap annalysis
• Documents of recomendation
• Action plan based off of recomendation
• Baseline certification facilitation (If required or requested)
• Equipment purchase, orientation, and implementation (If required or requested)

B.C.H.I Partner Incubator continued

• SOG and Preplan creation (If required or requested)
• High fidelity field training.
• Re-analysis and BCHI partner accreditation.

Operational partnership phase one

• Officially know as “BCHI development partners"
• These are operational partners, as earlier defined, that enter into contract with B.C.H.I with the goal of systematic improvement.

Additional Services-BCHI Development partner

• Expert medical direction for backcountry operations
• 24/7 phone consultation to BCHI leadership. Not including online medical direction
• CQI of all backcountry operational and medical reports

Additional services-BCHI Development Partner

• Medical continuing education on wilderness medicine topics.
• Exclusive permission to use the title “BCHI Development Partner”and affiliated immagery in private fund raising, official request for funding and limited media.

B.C.H.I. development partnership pricing

• Sliding scale dependent on size, type, length and identified needs of the “incubation" process.
• 1x-10x annual average partner employee salary + travel cost + outside certification cost + hard deliverables.

Operational partnership phase two

• Officially know as“BCHI accredited partners"
• Partners, as previously defined, that have satisfactorily completed the "BCHI development partnership", and enter into agreement with BCHI for safety and emergency operational management.

BCHI Accredited Partner Services

• Expert physician medical direction for backcountry operations
• 24/7 phone consultation with BCHI leadership, not including online medical direction.
• CQI of all backcountry operational and medical reports.

BCHI Accredited Partner Services

• Quarterly continuing education on wilderness medical topics.
• Quarterly high fidelity field trainings.
• Hosting, facilitation, and management of requested certifications.
• Access to innovative partner products.
• Out of area training opportunities.

BCHI Accredited Partner Services

• Opportunities to access BCHI partners for further innovation.
• Exclusive permission to utilize “BCHI Accredited Partner”and affiliated imagery on vehicles, uniforms, advertisement in all media, private fund raising and official requests for funding.

B.C.H.I Accredited Partnership Cost

• 0.5x-5x average annual partner employee salary/per year +travel + direct cost of outside certification + hard deliverables.
• Based on size and complexity of BCHI partner operations.

B.C.H.I Professional Partner

• Any agency, entity, person or service that may provide...
• Outdoor safety education
• Technical outdoor education
• Research, development, production or distribution of hard goods or technology designed for outdoor professionals.
• Regulation of outdoor industry standards

BCHI Professional Partner Services

• Exclusive training and certification provision to BCHI operational partners.
• Access to BCHI leaders for curriculum, policy, standards and regulation creation.
• Direct access to BCHI leaders for active product development.
• Access to BCHI operational partners for product testing and distribution.

BCHI Professional Partner Services

• Access to BCHI leaders for media creation and expert opinion.
• Exclusive permission to use " BCHI Professional Partner”and affiliated imagery on vehicles, uniforms, unlimited media advertisement, private fund raising, and official requests for funding.

Professional Partnership Financials

• BCHI professional partnership financial terms are negotiated on a per contract basis.
• Terms are negotiated by the scope of work and degree of partnership established.

Combination Partnerships

• Any agency, entity, person, or service that may fit both the operational and professional partnership models.
• These partnerships, including all contractual and financial agreements, will be decided on a case by case basis.

Non-Partner Work

• BCHI will work with entities that are not BCHI partners on a per project basis.
• Base rates for BCHI non-partner projects begin at $300 per billable person hour + travel cost + cost of hard deliverables.
