PRESENTATION OUTLINE

BAGEL

  • A food that is easy to digest
  • The bagel is a dense ring of bread
  • It has about 200 calories

SENSE OF SMELL

  • It begins when you smell something irresistible or when you see a favorite food
  • Then you start to salivate and the digestive process kicks in

MOUTH

  • Then you put the bagel in your mouth and touches your taste buds
  • When you chew, your mouth helps break down the bagel

ESOPHAGUS

  • The esophagus is a muscular tube .
  • This helps bring the bagel that came from your mouth to the stomach.
  • esophagus is usually between 25 to 30 centimeters long when upright.

STOMACH

  • The stomach secretes acid and enzymes that digest food.
  • The stomach muscles contract periodically, churning food to enhance digestion.

SMALL INTESTINE

  • The small intestine is the part of the intestines where 90% of the digestion and absorption of food occurs
  • It absorbs nutrients into the blood

LARGE INTESTINE

  • It extracts water and salt from solid wastes before they are eliminated
  • The large intestine is where 10% of the digestion occurs.

ANUS

  • Allows the bagel to exit body by digesting it
  • The bagel will be very easy to digest because it doesnt have an fiber to slow it down.
  • The anus will allow the bagel to exit out of the body, turning into poop.
