ART

  • The Bahrain art society consisted of 34 artists.
  • Most Bahraini artists were trained Cario and Baghdad the capital of Arabic world.
  • The literature club in Arab world started in 1952.
  • The art in Bahrain was a lot of pottery.

BUILDINGS

  • Bahrain is a country that builds a lot of tall buildings.
  • The 3 of the top buildings are below-
  • Bahrain Financial Harbor (260 m (850 ft.)
  • ERA Tower (245 m (804 ft.)
  • Bahrain WTC (240 m (790 ft.)

CLIMATE

  • Very hot summers and mild winters.
  • April-October avg.=40C (afternoon)
  • Can get up to 48C.
  • Very high humidity and hot summers make the days hard.
  • November-March avg.=10-20C (afternoon)

DRESS

  • Most of them dress neatly.
  • Both genders wear sandals.
  • Men wear sport coats over there thobes.
  • Women wear full length black robe with colorful dress underneath.
  • Both genders wear head robes.

ECONOMY

  • Have to use natural resources because of being an island.
  • Rely on foreign trade and have a huge oil production.
  • High youth unemployment rate puts government in major debt.
  • Currency in bahrain is dinar.

FAMILY

  • Extended family ties are strong in bahrain.
  • The father is the "ruler" of the house.
  • Children shall not disobey there FATHER.
  • In bahrain they typically have larger families.

GORVENMENT

  • Head of state= King Sheikh Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa.
  • Bahrain changed from an emirate to a constitutional monarchy.
  • The king appoints a prime minister as head of government.
  • Al-Khalifa is an important family in bahrain.

HISTORY

  • The Romans, Greeks, Portuguese, British, and others tried to conquer bahrain.
  • Portuguese captured bahrain in 1521.
  • British captured bahrain in 1800's.
  • They gained independence in 1961.

INDUSTRY

  • The industries there are very strong
  • They have a lot of oil refineries.

  • 1. Piping supervisor

  • 3. Rigging supervisor
  • 4. Pipe fabricator
  • 5. Welder

KNOWLEDGE

  • It is divided into three levels.
  • Lower secondary, secondary, and higher secondary.
  • The children begin school at age six.
  • The 10th grade is the mandatory all else is optional.

LANGUAGE

  • Dzongkha is the official language in Bahrain
  • Everyone in the country understands it and can speak the language.
  • Dzongkha is written based on Choki.

MONEY

  • Bhutan's currency is the ngultrum.
  • 1 darin= 2.65 dollars us.

  • Bahrainona is the national anthem.
  • Feb. 14= Mawlid Al-Nabi
  • July 29= Eid Al-Fitr
  • July 30= Eid Al-Fitr (2nd Day)

  • 30% is under 15 years old.
  • Large cities have 100,000 residents.
  • Small cities have 25,000 residents.

  • Everyone lives a good life in bahrain
  • There aren't a lot of arguments in bahrain.
  • Not many wars go on in bahrain.

RELIGION

  • Bhrain is mostly buddhists.
  • Lamas happens at most events in bahrain.
  • Religious practices are a daily routine.

SOCIAL STRUCTURE

  • Bahrain has a good social class.
  • They have lower social class also.
  • Most people are in the higher social class.

TOPOGRAPHY

  • There land is a flat island with a lot of people.
  • Double the size of New Hampshire.
  • Slightly smaller that Switzerland.

URBAN OR RURAL

  • I think of bahrain as a rural.
  • It is an island so it is away from everything else.
  • A lot of flat land also.

VACATION

  • Vacation in bahrain is limited.
  • You can go to the beach because its an island.

WAYS OF EVERYDAY LIFE

  • Young kids go to school everyday.
  • Older people go to work everyday.
  • Older people tend to work in industries for example oil refineries.

EXCITEMENT

  • Bahrain has a lot of nice beaches there.
  • Huge oil rigs are there.
  • A lot of tourist areas to go around the cities.
  • Bahrain is a place with multiple beautiful sites.

YUMMY!!!

  • Bahrain is known for the rice.
  • They eat a lot of chilies.
  • Poor people typically eat corn.

ZOOLOGY

  • They have multiple animals.
  • A lot of species because they live by the beach.
  • And a lot of biodiversity on the island.
