THE PROCESS OF BANNING BOOKS

Step One

A complaint has to be filed with the library about the book

Step Two

Once the complaint is filed, a committee has to determine if the complaint stands true

Step Three

Depending on the outcome, the book is either removed, banned, or left on the shelves.

Step Four

Depending upon the verdict, it can be taken to a courtroom.

Step Five

If one party disagrees with the courts decision, they can fight to overturn the verdict and take it all of the way up to the Supreme Court

Step Six

When the Supreme Court makes a decision, the decision on banning the book is final.
