Early Life
Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961. His mom's name is Stanley Ann Dunham, and his father's name is Barack Obama as well! When Barack Obama was 10 he went to a school in Hawaii called Punahou School. In 1979, he graduated from Punahou school. Afterwards in 1981, he went to Columbia University and he graduated in 1983.

Early Career
Barack graduated from Harvard Law School in 1991. In 1996, he was elected to lllinois State Senate for a two year term. He was re-elected in 1998 and 2002 for four year terms.

Career
In 2008, Barack Obama was elected as President of the United States. He defeated John McCain, 52.9 percent to 45.7 percent.

Late Career
Barack Obama was re-elected to serve a second term as president of the United States.

He also won the Grammy Award for the Best Spoken Word Album in 2006 and 2008.

Barack also won the Person of the Year award in 2008 and 2012.

Won the Noble Peace Prize in 2009 for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."
