APPROACHING A DOWNED ANIMAL

  • Approach the large game from behind their head
  • Wait at a distance for a few minutes to confirm the death
  • If the animal is still alive take another quick shot to the heart
  • Finally tag your kill with the appropriate game tag

CLEANING THE GAME

  • Clean it quickly and carefully so that bacteria doesn't start growing
  • Immediately put the meat on ice to keep cool and keep it from spoiling
