Royalist: Someone who wants a king or queen
1. You have soldiers from Mexico and the United States within your army. Different people want different things if Texas wins the war. Most of the Americans want Texas to join the United States or become an independent country. Most of the Mexicans want to see Texas join an independent Mexico after winning the war. The soldiers are constantly arguing. Who will you support?
A. We will fight for Texas to join an independent Mexico!
B. We will fight for Texas to join the United States!
C. We will fight for Texas to become an independent nation!
D. The battle will bring us closer together, and then we will be able to agree on what we're fighting for.
2. You have deployed your army south of San Antonio. Your scouts tell you that the enemy Spanish army is nearby. What are your orders?
A. Charge in now before the enemy expects it.
B. Wait until night, and then sneak in and surprise the enemy.
C. Send cavalry to check out the area and report back.
D. Wait for the enemy to make a mistake, then attack.
3. You see a division of about 200 cavalry approaching the front of your army. They shoot several shots at your soldiers, then turn around and ride away. What are your orders?
A. Chase them down! Don't let them escape!
B. Chase them down with 400 of your own cavalry.
C. Let them escape, but hide your army in the trees to ambush them if they come back.
4. Your forces approach the Spanish army and it looks
much smaller than yours. It's on a road with a forest on both sides. The Spanish have several cannons in the middle of the road, and the cannons open fire as soon as they see your soldiers. You appear to have more men and more cannons than the enemy. What are your orders?
A. Send the center of your army to take those cannons and turn them around on the enemy
B. Send the entire army forward to capture the Spanish cannons as quickly as possible
C. Order your cannons to return fire as your army gets down and waits
5. The two armies meet and you've been caught in an ambush! The Spanish have cannons and soldiers hiding in the trees and they're blowing your army to pieces. What are your orders?
A. CHARGE!!!!!!!! Order the army to continue the attack.
B. RETREAT!!!!!!! Order the army to flee from the battlefield. You'll live to fight another day.
C. HOLD!!!!!!!!!!! Order the army to stand their ground and continue to fight, but don't continue forward.
The battle has been raging for about an hour now and 6.
You're losing. You need to make a move to change things. You have some reserves, soldiers who are not yet in the fight, that you could use. You think the enemy's right flank looks weak. One of your officers thinks the enemy center looks weak. What are your orders?
A. Attack the Spanish right flank with everyone you have, including the reserves
B. Attack the Spanish center with everyone you have, including the reserves
C. Attack the Spanish center with half the reserves and attack the Spanish right flank with the other half of the reserves
D. Play defense, wait for the Spanish to use their reserves and be ready to counterattack
