  • He lived in an era when art and science was just being recognized.
  • He was best known for his painting like the Mona Lisa.
  • He was also many other things such as an inventor, scientist, mathematician, and others
  • He was most interested in flight he wanted to know how a bird flew, and made airplanes

FACTS

  • He was a sculptor, painter, architect
  • His famous paintings areDavid the pieta and the paintings on the sistine chapel.
  • His early life he grew up around art and agricultural , his dad helped with that.
  • He worked as an apprentice for Ghirlandaio he worked with the finest artists.
  • In a self portrait of Michelangelo you can see that his nose is broken he got hit.

RAPHAEL

Born: April 6, 1483 Death: April 6, 1520

FACTS

  • He grew up with his father that was also a poet and artist.
  • In his home town he gained a reputation and worked out of his fathers shed.
  • When he was seventeen he became known as a master artist and worked with them too.
  • Raphael's fame spread throughout Rome, so the pope asked him to paint his rooms.
  • He was known for The School of Athens, The Sistine Madonna, The Transfiguration, and many others.

RABELAIS

Born: 1494 Death: April 1553

  • He decided early to go into a Franciscan monastery, he studied Greek and Latin.
  • He became well known by the humanist, he got permission to leave and go to the Benedictine
  • He went to school also in the medicine department and taught some in Latin.
  • He studied at two more places before getting his bachelors degree in medicine.
  • He's known for being a monk and studying in a lot of different universities.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Born: April 26, 1564 Death: April 23, 1616

FACTS

  • In his early life he went to school and later married and had kids.
  • He later went on to write plays and be an actor for Lord Chamberlain's Men
  • After been working there for awhile they lease was up so the owner wanted to shut them down.
  • Some of the members took the lumber of the building and rebuilt the theatre else where.
  • They renamed it The Globe Theatre, reopened it, and now William's plays got more popular.

  • Some of his best work was later on like Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, and Macbeth.
  • He began to invest in the theatre and and also his great success in it he became wealthy.
  • He later settled down with his family, bought a house, and started writing poetry.
  • He then became most famouse for his poetry writing like Venus and Adonis.
  • Then he died on nearly his fifty second birthday.

ERASMUS

Born: October 27, 1469 Death: July 12, 1536

  • He was a dutch priest and great known scholar.
  • He was the greatest humanist of the north and brought it throughout Asia.
  • He grew the renaissance to Northern Europe.
  • He is very famouse for his book Praise of Folly

  • I picked these people because they really made me want to do better things.
  • I recognised them somi wanted to learn more about them and know how they...
  • Got through life just by being what they love doing not what other people said...
  • They should be or do they did whatvthey though would get them through life...
  • And it paid off for them in the long run after all that hard work, they are inspiring.

  • In her early life she really wasnt book smart but she had three jobs.
  • Her brother was on The Daily Show as a comedian then they started interviewing Ellen
  • She became an instant hit, got offers to be a stand-up comedian, and her mother helped her.
  • She started at a coffee house and then progressed to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and others.
  • She then started her own show called Ellen where she makes funny remarks, and gives away money.

  • He still kept going on even when the going was rough.

  • I choose Ellen because she came up from nothing and no she has a talk show.
  • She became funny because of who she is not because of her brother.
  • I like her because she helps people in need on her show.
  • Ellen makes people laugh and she has fun doing it and never gave up either.
  • She brings life to the lifeless, she helps the needy and people all over the country.
