is your hand spread out with your fingers curved in slightly this is there way of showing there pride. This bear claw is raised high and proudly during the school song followed by a yell of "SIC EM BEARS."

HOW DID BAYLOR's MASCOT COME TO BE
The students of Baylor voted on what they wanted the mascot to be. The bear won a little more than half of the 406 votes casted. In 1974 the decision was made for the mascot to be called "judge " followed by a surname , in honor of the mascot that served Baylor from 1961 to 1971.
