PRESENTATION OUTLINE

BBFC RATING

The British Board of Film Classification is an independent, non-governmental body which has classified cinema films since it was set up in 1912, and videos/ DVDs since the Video Recordings Act was passed in 1984.

We have rated our trailer a 15

Because the following themes are addressed...

• Strong violence

• Offensive language E.g. (‘Slut’)

• Portrayals of sexual activity

• Strong verbal references to sex

• Sexual nudity

• Brief scenes of sexual violence or verbal references to sexual violence

• Discriminatory behaviour

• Drug Abuse

Our film is a horror so contains gore and strong violence which is not suitable for anyone younger than 15.

It also includes strong language, sexual references, shocking imagery and references to class A drugs.

Typically horrors tend to be no less than a 15 rating as jump scares and gore is not suitable for younger audiences.

We do not want our trailer to be rated 18 as the main audience for our film would be teenagers 15 and above, as the plot revolves around characters of this age category.

To refrain from entering into the rated 18 category, our film will not contain full frontal nudity, graphic sex scenes of any seriously offensive behaviour.
