Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

“The mind”
(i.e., the mental faculties, reason, or understanding) is in itself neutral.
When informed by an evil principle, it becomes an instrument of evil; (Rom. 1:28)
when informed by the Spirit, it is an instrument of good. (Gal. 5:16)

Transformation

• Do not conform to the pattern of this world (1 Jn. 2:15-17, Jn. 17:16-17)
• But be transformed - transfigured (Matt.17:2-8, Rom. 6:17, 2 Cor. 3:18)
• By the renewing of your mind. (Ephesians 4:23-24, Col. 3:10, Ps. 119:11)
• Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
