THE 8 BEATITUDES

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for tHEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF heAVEN

• This means that if you are kind, selfless, and giving on Earth, God will reward you in heaven.

BLESSED ARE THEY WHO MOURN, FOR THEY WILL BE COMFORTED

• This means that if you care about someone and you mourn their death, there will always be someone there to help you.

BLESSED ARE THE MEEK, FOR THEY SHALL INHERIT THE LAND

• When you are willing to learn people will teach you things and you will have a lot of knowledge

BLESSED ARE THEY WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEY SHALL BE SATISFIED

• This means that if you hunger and thirst for what is right than good things will be done to you.

BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL, FOR THEY SHALL OBTAIN MERCY

• This means that when you are merciful and show others respect, you will gain mercy and respect.

BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART, FOR THEY SHALL SEEK GOD

• This means that if you are kind as Jesus was, you will seek God in Heaven as Jesus did.

BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS, FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED CHILDREN OF GOD

• This means that if you bring peace to your prayers, God will call you to be his child and to spread his world.

BLESSED ARE THEY WHICH ARE PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS’ SAKE, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

• This means that the saints that have been persecuted have done many great things for their faith. They have now been accepted by God and have the Kingdom of Heaven. We aspire to be like them so we can inherit the kingdom of Heaven.
