THE BEATITUDES

BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT

• If you are poor in spirit it means thats you don’t have a lot but you value God more than anything
• It also means that you are humble
• To be humble is to not want material objects but to only want God in your life.

BLESSED ARE THEY WHO MOURN

• This means that you’re sad when people sin and you pray for them.
• To mourn is to show sorrow for someone
• By sining you make God sad.

BLESSED ARE THE MEEK

• To be meek is sometimes to be in Insignificant but not with God
• We are all important to god no madder how small.
• We are all children of God

BLESSED ARE THEY WHO HUNGER AND THIRST

• This means that you will stand up for people being treated badly
• This also means that you will give people a second chance
• This beatitude is to remind you should always thirst for righteousness

BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL

• This means that they are willing to show forgiveness
• This also means that if we share our mercy that one day we will receive it back
• This is like the golden rule

BLESSED ARE THE CLEAN OF HEART

• This means that you are a good person day and night no madder what
• You also have the best intentions for everyone
• This also means that you put God in the center of your life

BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS

• This means that we take Jesus’s advice and spread the word of the lord
• We must make peace with our selves before we can spread the word.
• By spreading the word we are following Jesus
