Belgium is know for many foods but their national dish is Carbonade flamande. (Belgian beef stew) It is like French Beef Bourguignon but is served with bread or fries.
Belgium is located in Western Europe and has about 40 miles of seacoast. It borders the North Sea and is the size of Maryland. The Meuse and the Schelde are the main rivers of Belgium and are important commercial arteries.
Belgium has a temperate maritime weather influenced by the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean. They have cool summers and moderate summers. Since the country is so small, they have very little variation in climate.
