Here, in this central American, seaside country, you will find yourself relaxing and enjoying a fresh cup of coffee.

Origin of country

  • The Ancient Mayans were one of the first to live here
  • 16th century, Spanish explorers claimed it a Spanish colony
  • 17th-18th centuries, English and Scottish settlers came over

Government

  • Belize is a Constitutional Monarchy
  • The citizens are allowed to vote 
  • Prime Minister rules, but doesn't have full power

Economy

Belize has built a strong economical trade, exporting marine life, citrus, sugar, bananas, and most important;

Belize has a very rich and diverse culture. The religions consist of Mayan and Aztec, not to mention any minorities.

Though both have a steady export system, Belize's unemployment rate is much higher than USA's. The only difference between Govs. is that Belize has a prime minister, and their overall "leader" is a king or queen.
