I hope you understand what an incredible contributor Benjamin Franklin has been to our nation. You may just think he flew a kite on a stormy day, but you would be severely mistaken.

Benjamin Franklin cared about our safety! He invented a lightning rod so that lightning would stay away from buildings when it stormed.

How cool would it be to have glasses that helped you read AND see things that were far away? Oh, that's right. We already have those. They are called bifocals, and Benjamin Franklin invented those, too!

Benjamin Franklin is BRILLIANT! He invented a stove that heats up the entire room! He had to give himself some credit, so he decided to name it the Franklin stove.
