OUR PURPOSE

• Our purpose is to show and illustrate to you :
• How each character made the novel come alive
• Characterization -
• The process by which the writer reveals the personality of a character

BEOWULF

• Description: Herot savior .bold strong ,almighty
• Effects on others : Defeats Grendel, Grendels mother and the dragon
• " in his far-off home Beowulf, Higlacs followers..
• And the strongest of the Geets ---greater and stronger than anyone in this world. "

GRENDEL

• "...that demon,that friend,Grendel, who haunted in the moors...and made his home hell."
• "Looks slimy monster that is outcasted, lives down in the darkness very impatient
• Although he doesn't say anything his action speak for him
• Effect on others - he is very hated person because he killed many men and a dear friend
• Action: Kill Thoughts : Kill

WIGLAF

• Speech: he was kind, loyal
• "I remember when we sat in the meat hall...
• Boasting of how brave we'd be when Beowulf needed us."
• Effects: Beowulf depended on wiglaf.. A kind and loyal person, a leader
• Actions: he was strong a good soldier.

GRENDELS MOTHER

• Discription: the mother of the man -monster man
• Thoughts: revenge for Grendel
• Effect on others: makes Beowulf look powerful (killed)
• "Night if celebration after Beowulf defeated Grendel, grendels..
• Mother stalks up from her mere , retrieving her sons claw.."
