WHERE DID HE COME FROM?

Montgomery was born in Kennington London in 1887
He was the the fourth of nine children in his family
Bernard was the son of Maud and Bishop Henry Montgomery
He was then educated at St. Paul's school
When old enough Montgomery was educated in Sandhurst

WHEN AND WHERE DID THEY GAIN POWER?

After graduating military school he was promoted lieutenant
He was then made brigade major after being wounded in a battle in WW1
By the end of WW1 he became a general staff officer
After fighting in many battles in WW2 and after WW2 he would become field marshal

WHAT DID HE DO?

Montgomery fought in both world war 1and world war 2
Awarded for bravery in both of the world wars
Became leader of the eighth army
Fought in many battles during the world wars
