THE GREAT BIBLE ABC'S

CALEB HILL PERIOD 2

A- Adam

  • The first man on earth.
  • He was made of dust.
  • He disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit.

B- Burning Bush

  • God used this to speak to Moses.
  • Though it was on fire, it didn't burn.
  • The ground where it was is Holy Ground.

C- Canaan

  • This was God's promised land.
  • Moses led the Hebrews there after helping them escape Egypt.
  • Canaan was renamed to Israel.

D- DAVID

  • David killed Goliath.
  • He played the harp for King Saul.
  • He became King of Isreal.

E- EGYPT

  • Pharaoh forced the Hebrews into labor here.
  • The 10 plagues were struck onto Egypt.
  • Moses led the Hebrews away from here.

F- FIVE STONES

  • David used five stones to kill Goliath.
  • The stones were very smooth.
  • David got them out of a river.

G- GIFT

  • God gave his son for us.
  • The gift is that our sins are forgiven because of it.
  • Jesus dying on the cross was the greatest gift ever imaginable.

H- HEBREW

  • The Hebrews were in slavery in Egypt.
  • Moses saved them and led them to Canaan.
  • They lost faith in God and had to wander in the desert for 40 years.

I- ISRAEL

  • Israel was Jacob's new name.
  • Canaan was also renamed Israel.
  • Israel was divided into two countries.

J- JESUS

  • Jesus is our savior.
  • He was persecuted many times.
  • He died on the cross to take away our sins.

K- KINGS

  • Saul was a king of Israel.
  • David was a king also.
  • Solomon was a king.

L- LUKE

  • He wrote the book of Acts.
  • He went with Paul on all his journeys.
  • He did not include himself in most of the book.

M- MOSES

  • He was found in the Nile by the King's daughter.
  • He killed an Egyptian and had to run away.
  • Moses led the Hebrews out of slavery.

N- NOAH

  • Noah built the ark.
  • He got two of every animal on an ark.
  • He was one of the fathers of the world.

O- 0RPHANS

  • We are orphans without God.
  • God has adopted us into Christ.
  • We always have a home in Christ.

P- PAUL

  • He was first named Saul.
  • Saul was blinded by God.
  • He went on three journeys for God.

Q- QUESTIONS

  • People had many questions.
  • People questioned Jesus.
  • People questioned Paul.

R- RED SEA

  • The Hebrews camped by the sea.
  • The Egyptians chased them there.
  • Moses parted the Red Sea.

S- SIMON PETER

  • He was one of Jesus' apostles.
  • He spread the gospel.
  • He was put to death by Romans.

T- TEN COMMANDMENTS

  • God gave them to Moses.
  • The Hebrews lived by them.
  • God wrote them on stones.

U- UR

  • Ur was the land where Abraham lived.
  • God called him out of Ur.
  • Abraham's whole family went with him.

V- VIPER

  • A viper bit Paul.
  • Paul pulled it off and threw it in the fire.
  • The bite did not make Paul sick.

W- WALLS

  • Many cities had walls.
  • Jerusalem had walls.
  • Their walls fell down.

X- EXILED

  • The Hebrews were exiled.
  • They were slaves in Egypt.
  • Moses led them to Canaan.

Y- YOUNG

  • Jesus was young when he started preaching.
  • David was young when he killed Goliath.
  • Jesus was young when he died.

Z- ZEALOUS

  • It means energetic and determined.
  • God was zealous to save us.
  • He never gave up on us.
