SUmmary:

• Nahab and Abihu are killed by the wrath of God.
• They tried to ofer unauthorized fire before God.
• God sanctified all the people near Him.
• He set a uniform code for the priests.
• They were told where they can go in the tent of meeting

HOW Does THIS POINT TOWARD JESUS

POINTING TOWARDS JESUS:

• Jesus is a holy mediator.
• This gave Him authority over priests.
• He demonstrates His power through the death of Aaron's sons

WHAT DID NAHAB AND ABIHU DO WRONG

Aaron's Sons Faults:

• they disrespected God
• they brought unauthorized fire before The Lord
• they disobeyed Gods rules for priesthood
• So God struck them down.

WHAT DOES THIS STORY TEACH ABOUT PRIESTHOOD

Priesthood:

• Priesthood is very strict.
• It cannot be done as they saw fit.
• It was to be done as God ordained.

WHAT DOES THIS TEACH US ABOUT GOD

God is:

• God is merciful, but powerful.
• He is loving but has wrath.
• He wants to be in fellowship.
• He is Holy above all else.
