ROMANS 1:16
"16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[e] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[f]" Gospel literally means good news, so "the good news" is God righteousness. Also no one should be afraid of the Gospel, because His greatness is a good thing.

HOW THE MIGHTY ARE FALLEN

2 SAMUEL 1:25
25 “How the mighty have fallen in battle!
Jonathan lies slain on your heights.
26 I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother;
you were very dear to me.
Your love for me was wonderful,
more wonderful than that of women.
27 “How the mighty have fallen!
The weapons of war have perished!”

For some background information on this passage: king Saul and Jonathan were killed in battle and the passage above is a segment of David's lament to the dead king and his son. "The mighty" being Saul and Jonathan. The verse itself means that even the greatest warriors can be defeated.
