Meaning: To be unable to distinguish that person from any other person. The name "Adam" is of Hebrew origin meaning "man" or "mankind".

In the Twinkling of an Eye

Corinthians 15:52
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Meaning: An instant of time that happens very quickly. A 'twinkle' is smaller than the time it takes to blink; thus, you would miss it if you blinked.

It is Better to Give Than Receive

Acts 20:35
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

Meaning: You should be willing to help the weak by offering your expertise for the sake of kindness and not money. In the passage, Paul was a tent maker so he made his own tent as well as helped the elders with theirs.

Jezebel

Book of Kings

Summary of Story: Jezebel was a Phoenician princess in the 9th century who married Ahab, the prince of Israel. Eventually, they ruled as king and queen. Jezebel continued worship the nature god Baal. Her citizens and the Yahweh prophet Elijah despised such actions. Preparing herself to be murdered by General Jehu, she applied makeup and dressed in finery before she was thrown over her balcony and eaten by dogs.
