CHILDHOOD

• When bill bates was only 13 he was enrolled in Lakeside School
• The school was an exlusive preparatory school
• He Scored an 1590 out of 1600 on his SAT
• That made him elegable to enroll at Harvard College

CHILDHOOD

• Gates became a student at Harvard University, where he meet
• Steve Ballmer (now Microsoft's chief executive officer).
• Gates did not have a definite study plan while a student at Harvard

WORK

• During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of CEO
• and chief software architect,
• And remains the largest individual shareholder,
• He stepped down as chief executive officer of Microsoft in January 2000.

PERSONAL

• Gates has also provided personal donations to educational institutions
• In 1999 Gates donated US$20 million to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
• Gates donated $6 million to the construction of the Gates Computer Science building

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Gates was ranked as the fourth most powerful person in the world in 2012
• In '02 he received the Jefferson Award for Greatest Public Service Benefiting the Disadvantaged.
• In '06 received the James C. Morgan Global Humanitarian Award from The Tech Awards
• He was also made an honorary trustee of Peking University in '07

Bill Gates is my hero because he shows people to never give up and to keep trying in order to achieve what you want.
