  • The branch of biology that deals with relations with organisms and their surroundings
  • The term "Ecology" come from the Greek word root oikos, which means. (household or living place)

  • The natural home of an animal, plant, or organism
  • Animals live in special habitats were all there needs are met, such as food and shelter

organism

  • An individual animal, plant, or single-celled life form
  • Every single organism we see today has come from a few original organisms billions of years ago

symbiosis

  • Interaction between to different living organisms
  • Especially with mammals, symbiosis is crucial to a healthy enjoyable life
  • A mutual relationship between organisms

  • An organism that is able to form nutritional organic substances for the use of itself and others
  • It is very important that we don't kill all the autotrophs because that's how we get oxygen to breath

carnivore

  • Carnivores are animals that only consume other animals
  • Carnivores are normally near the top of the food chain
