DISADVANTAGES

• Smaller energy output
• Large amounts of water are required
• Could potentially cause food shortages
• Even though there is lower carbon emissions there is still a carbon emission

The challenge with developing a widespread market is the plants that are used can't be grown everywhere. An example would be the Middle East.
