Some behavior is determined by the internal, or physiological, state of organism.
Our biological needs are critical to our survival and physical well being.
Some biological needs are food, water, oxygen, and sleep.
All organisms have built in regulating systems that work to maintain internal processes.
The tendency of all organisms to correct imbalances and deviations from their normal state is known as homeostasis.
The relation to us is that it simply keeps us from starving and dehydrating ourselves. It's a constant reminder that carry on our lives.
