• Chinese women spend 10% of their income on makeup.
• Until Nixon was elected it was a safe bet that the taller man would win
• CEOs have more hair than CFOs.
• More attractive job applicants have higher starting salaries.
• Beauty is incredibly important to everyone, and we assume this narcissism is new due to the media.
• But it has always been important, why?

• But women and men find same things attractive (homosexuality example) Maybe it has been crushed so long we agree.
• But are these recent?

• 0.7 waist to hip ratio apparent in most women=natural female figure not 'curvy'
• Natural ginous figure.

• Some traits have been prized for thousands of years= clear fair skin, blond hair, the gynoid figure
• Nefertiti would still be considered attractive. So this idea of beauty is not from the media.
