PRESENTATION OUTLINE

MALARIA

  • Malaria is a tropical disease that is caught through mosquitos, it is caused by a parasite called plasmodium, These parasites enter the persons bloodstream if bitten by an infected mosquito and then go to the liver where they will multiply before coming back into the bloodstream to invade the red blood cells.

MALARIA SYMPTOMS AND EFFECTS

  • The Symptoms of malaria are: fever and flu-like illness, including shaking, chills, headache, muscle aches, and tiredness. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea can also happen. Malaria may cause anaemia and jaundice (yellow colouring of the skin and eyes) because of the loss of red blood cells. Infection with one type of malaria, P. falciparum, if it's not treated, may cause kidney failure, seizures, mental confusion, coma, and death.

INTRODUCTION TO HIV/AIDS

  • virus that attacks the immune system, and weakens your strength to fight infections and disease. It's most frequently caught by having sex without contraceptives .

SYMPTOMS OF HIV/AIDS

  • Most people who are infected with HIV experience a short, flu-like illness that occurs two to six weeks after infection. After this, HIV often causes no symptoms for several years.

SALMONELLOSIS SYMPTOMS

  • Symptoms of salmonellosis include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps. They develop 12 to 72 hours after contraction, and the illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. Most people recover without treatment. But diarrhea and dehydration may be so severe that it is necessary to go to the hospital. Older adults, infants, and those who have impaired immune systems are at highest risk.

ROSE BLACK SPOT

  • Rose Blackspot, "Diplocarpon rosae", is a nasty fungus that hides itself on rose bushes as black spots on leaves beginning to become black spots with yellow rings on both sides of the leaf. As they grow the spots enlarge. Eventually, when the disease spreads, the entire leaves will go from green to yellow and then drop onto to the ground. With time the entire rose bush may become yellow and black.
