Occurrence of accidental or unexpected, but fortunate results

Experimental group:

Receive the variable being tested then compared to a control group.

Inference:
Combing what you know with what you have learned and forming a logical conclusion.

Dependent Variable:

The variable that changesas a result of the independent variable
