PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TUNDRA

  • The climate is usually 45-50 degrees fahrenheit.
  • The plants get very little water.
  • Contains foxes, mice, bugs, small birds.
  • Found at the northern hemisphere in latitudes of 50-70

RAINFOREST

  • Very humid due to rain.
  • Located at the south hemisphere near the equator.
  • Trees have big leaves to absorb light.
  • Has chimpanzees, cougars, sloths, etc.

MARINE

  • It is usually 39 degrees and has a lot of wind.
  • Found wherever there isn't land.
  • Plants adapted to living under water with strong root.
  • The biome has fish, sharks, octopus, pelicans, etc.

DECIDUOUS FOREST

  • Has very moist climate between 50 and 23 degrees.
  • Can be found at the eastern half of North America.
  • Trees grow very tall to receive sunlight.
  • Contains birds, mice, snakes, and multiple bugs.

TAIGA

  • Found near or on mountain tops.
  • Occasional rain due to mountains trapping clouds.
  • Plants need to have strong roots and depend on wind for pollination.
  • Has foxes, bears, mice, owls, eagles, and multiple bugs.

DESERT

  • Receives very little water.
  • Has almost no plants.
  • Found near mountains on the side wind blows.
  • Small animals such as lizards, snakes, turtles, and vultures.

ICE

  • The climate is extremely cold
  • Located at the north and south hemisphere
  • Plants must grow quickly during growing season
  • Polar bears, rabbits, and multiple birds

FRESHWATER

  • A moderate climate to live in
  • Found at rivers and lakes
  • Plants use the water instead of searching it
  • Fish, bugs, river snakes, and an occasional alligator

GRASSLANDS

  • Moderate climate with strong winds
  • Found at flat planes or flat grounds
  • Mice, snakes, spiders, and small birds
  • The plants do not need that much water
