What is it?
- This is an infection of the lungs.
- It's also know as "Pneumoconiosis.
- This is a preventable disease.
How to prevent
- If skin comes in contact with coal dust, wash affectively using soap and water.
- If coal dust has contacted your clothing, immediately remove them.
- Thoroughly wash your hands, forearms, and face before doing anything involving personal hygiene.
Symptoms of Black Lung
- Coughing
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
Treatment
- There is no known treatment for the infection.
- Victims should avoid further exposure to coal dust.
Possible Bodily Effects
- Affects the respiratory system
- Chronic bronchitis
- Failure of right side of heart
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Respiratory failure
