once upon a time there was a boy called mitai. Mitai lived with his seven brothers in a small village

One day the brothers decided to go hunting on the hill near there there village when they heard a beautiful sound coming from the top of the hill the brothers flowed the sound to the top were they saw the most but full women they had ever seen

Each man full in love with the women all except mitai.The other brothers loved the women and took them home to be there wives.

The new women did not do any thing at all. They just stayed home and sang. The brothers stopped going hunting and only left the house to go and get food for there wives who only ate sea food

the brothers were so transfixed at the women that they stopped eating or looking after them selves. Mitai decided to watch the brothers wives closely.

One day Mitai's oldest brother arived home early but could not find his wife. He searched his other brothers houses and could not find any of there wives aswell.When brothers wives reterned the brothers asked them were they had been but they would not tell.

The brothers told Mitai what had happened and mitai grew more egaer to find out more. Mitai talked to his brothers and they decided that the women were bad. the next morning mitai hid and watched the houses then just when Mitai was about to give up he saw six birds sitting near the houses and then Mitai saw another one fly out of a house to johin them.

Mitai flowed the birds to the top of the hill and saw that they turned back into women Mitai transformed into a bird and heard there plans to starve the brothers to death

the brothers each got their nets and and hid. They waited for their wives and as each bird felw out of there house each brother caught it in there nets Mitai took the nets from the brothers and turnd into an albatross and took the nets to the god of the stars the god cast the women far away from earth but once a year he let then shine at a time called Matariki.
