Critical Review
I really enjoyed reading this book. I would give it a rating of a 4.5 because each chapter was from the perspective of a different character so it got confusing. I reccommend this book to teens who are interested in mysteries.

APRIL HENRY WAS BORN APRIL 14, 1959 IN PORTLAND, OR. WHEN SHE WAS 12, SHE SENT ONE OF HER STORIES TO ROALD DAHL WHO WANTED IT PUBLISHED. SHE CHOOSES TO WRITE ABOUT DEATH, MURDER, DRUGS, AND ALCOHOL BECAUSE HER GRANDFATHER WAS A MURDERER. HE WAS DRUNK AND STABBED HIS WIFE. SHE HAS WON NUMEROUS AWARDS FOR HER BOOKS. SHE IS NOW 57 AND STILL LIVING IN OREGON.

THE POINT OF VIEW IS FROM ALL OF THE CHARACTERS. IT'S NOT FROM ONE SPECIFIC PERSON. IT IS TOLD IN 1st PERSON

  • The climax was when Nick was in the interrogation room and was accused.
  • The rising action is when Nick is at the crime seen.
  • The falling action is when Nick is in the hospital.

The resolution is that the cops arrested a man who was part of the police department because he tried to murder Alexis to frame Nick.

(THE MURDERER IS NICK'S BROTHER, KYLE)
