BLOODY MARY

• Bloody Mary is an urban legend that most people know as a summoning ritual for little kids, but that’s not what it was about when it first started.

WHERE DID IT COME FROM

• It came from a ritual that women used to see their future husband
• It is based off of a real event

WHERE DID IT COME FROM 2

• The story originated from a false pregnancy that Queen Mary the first went through. Which resulted in people being burned to death, which gave her the nickname Bloody Mary

OLD RITUAL

• The old ritual was that women had to walk backwards up a flight of stairs while holding a candle and looking into a hand mirror and as they were going up they were supposed to see their future husband, but if they saw the grim reaper instead that means that they would die before marriage.

NEW RITUAL

• The new ritual is that you go into a dark or candle lit room and look into a mirror and chant “Bloody Mary” and that’s supposed to summon her.

DIFFERENCES

• The differences in the rituals are that it was used to tell the future and now it’s used as entertainment.

WHAT DOES IT TEACH

• This urban legend teaches you that you shouldn’t summon demons or else you’ll be haunted
