SNOW THAT MELTS, THEN REFREEZES

HOW DOES SLEET FORM?

SLEET FORMS WHEN MELTED SNOW REFREEZES INTO ICE PELLETS.

WHEN CAN SLEET OCCUR?

Sleet can only happen in winter.
Sleet forms in temperatures of -20 to -10 Celsius.
To form, it needs to be snowing.
There must be a warm area, then a big enough cold area below it

SLEET IS WET AND ICY WHITE

dangers of sleet

the weight of lots of sleet can cause power lines to fall
