HOW DOES SLEET FORM?

SLEET FORMS WHEN MELTED SNOW REFREEZES INTO ICE PELLETS.

WHEN CAN SLEET OCCUR?

  • Sleet can only happen in winter.
  • Sleet forms in temperatures of -20 to -10 Celsius.
  • To form, it needs to be snowing.
  • There must be a warm area, then a big enough cold area below it
