• real name: Robert Frederick Zenon Geldof
• fought for anti-poverty focusing on Africa-Ethiopia
• found out about the starvation and lack of resources and felt he needed to fight
• co-founded a charity called Band-Aid and raised funds for the famines
• he was a singer for a band called the Boomtown Rats

• his charity and events raised millions of dollars to help famines
• he worked well with others many were needed to do what they did
