Robert William "Bobby" Flay
Bobby was born December 10, 1964 in New York City to parents Bill and Dorothy Flay. During his second marriage he and Kate Connelly had their daughter, Sophie Flay.
Bobby was kicked out of high school three times then at the age of seventeen he dropped out. After that he then attended the French Culinary Institute in New York City.
His first professional restaurant job came in 1982 at a restaurant his father managed called “Joe Allen's". After culinary school he worked at a series of New York restaurants, most notably those of restauranteur Jonathan Waxman.
Bobby has published many books such as, "Brunch at Bobby's", "Bobby Flay's Barbecue Addiction", "Bobby Flay's Grill It!" & many more.

Flay has won four "Daytime Emmy's" and was also nominated for four. He has also won the "Walk of Fame Award" and was nominated for the "People's Choice Award."
Bobby Flay has received recognition for his books, restaurants and awards.
