Last night at our staff meeting, the principal banned all cell phone use during class. This includes listening to music during independent work time. A 10th grade student advocated for the school and wrote this paragraph in a email to her.
We should be allowed to listen to music in the class. This is because music is shown to help people concentrate. Also, it helps keep the class from talking. Thirdly, it brings fun into reading. These are 3 reasons why I feel we should be allowed to listen to music while we read.
